How to use

Traditional method:

Add dried yerba mate leaves to two-thirds of your mate cup (traditionally a dried gourd). Cover the top, shake gently to settle the leaves, and angle a filtered straw (bombilla) on the deeper side. Slowly add hot water (70-80 C or 160-180 F) to the lower half to avoid scalding the leaves. Enjoy through the bombilla, refilling with hot water as the flavor diminishes.

French press method:

Add 1/4 cup yerba mate leaves to your French press and top with 3/4 cup hot (not boiling) water. Allow to infuse before straining into your mug. The longer you infuse the leaves the stronger and more bitter the flavour.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight for less than 12 months.
