This grain can be used in a wide range of recipes including soups, salads, stews, pilaf, casseroles, and risottos. Can be used to thicken sauces, soups, and stews or cooked and rinsed before adding to recipes if a thinner result is desired.

How to use

Boil 1 cup barley in 3 cups of water with a pinch of salt or stock. Once boiling simmer for 25 minutes. Allow to stand for 10 minutes, fluff with a fork and serve.
