Wild rice is high in protein and fibre as well as being low in fat. With its chewy texture, it is great in stuffing, salads, soups, casseroles and even burgers.

How to use
Bring 3 cups of water or stock to boil, stir in 1 cup rice and simmer for 40 to 45 minutes covered. Uncover, fluff with a fork and cook further 5 minutes. Drain and serve.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight for less than 24 months.
